Michael Bryan is one of the most sought after artists to emerge on the West coast in the past decade. Bryan is completely original. Action and movement are the resonate characteristics conveyed by Michael Bryan's diverse styles and subjects. Using a unique combination of painting techniques and perspectives, he captures the force and grace of sports, the soulful cadence of jazz musicians, and the vigor of crowds at play.

Bryan is an original and creative painter. Through a diversity of styles, he examines the power and energy in man's relationship with nature. Liberal use of rich colors and a variety of pictorial spaces are reinforced by unusual angles and overhead perspectives.

A resident of Southern California, Bryan's paintings radiate the quintessential spirit of the region. His portrayals of cyclists, boaters, runners, polo players, prize fighters and horse racers evoke the romantic mystique attached to athletic prowess and sporting events.

In seeking to capture a contemporary spirit, Bryan's styles are constantly evolving. Although his viewpoint is essentially American, his incisive portrayals achieve universality.

Through Bryan's unique technical experience, his hands-on approach can be seen in all his limited editions.

Bryan received his education at Southern Illinois University and The Chicago Art Institute. He has had numerous one-man shows throughout the country. His works have been reproduced in a variety of publications and are in many prominent private collections. He is in the collections of major corporations internationally.

Mr. Bryan accepts commissions both residential and commercial. He was the official Olympic artist for BMW '96.
