Paul-Felix Montez Naughty Knickers is the overall name, the artist Paul-Felix Montez has given to his series of 18 by 24 inch, fine art mono prints. Each is made using a unique inking of antique and contemporary men's and women's under garments. Printed on archival white paper in black or sepia inks, paints, and dyes these pop, surreal, yet expressionistic prints constantly challenge the viewer's perceptions. The immediacy of the process, object versus image, and the viewers own personnel imagery intertwine into the eroticism, sensuality and the visually absurd, in my work as an new, daring, contemporary visual, folk artist. |
