Sara Ringler is an Assistant Professor of Art at Cape Cod Community College teaching drawing, printmaking, painting and visual fundamentals.
Her art has evolved over the years and has taken her in various directions, but the overall themes have centered on images of women and natural forms. Her work is focused on the power of color and abstract forms and is always inspired by natures forces.
Over the past several years she has concentrated on Monotype prinmaking and has been experimenting with the creative use of stencils, overpinted glazing, chine colle, cyanotype and collagraph. She enjoys spontaneity and movement in her art and she delights in creative accident balanced with control of the mediums she uses. She is totally immersed in exploring color, she enjoys puching color tensions, surprises and unexpected contrasts of color forms. Rhythmic brush strokes are evidence of the creative process and her search for form. Above all she loves making art and finding new ways to see and feel the world around her.
