 Certificates of Authenticity

Certificates of authenticity must be signed by all artists involved.

Minimum information includes:

  • Artist's name and surname
  • Title of print
  • Dates — all that apply: date(s) of collaboration, date the bon á tirer approved, date(s) printed, date signed (if significant because significantly different from the printing date), date of official release or publication
  • Medium and/or technique — it is important to be specific
  • Paper or support (type, color, manufacturer, etc.)
  • Size: dimensions of image and dimensions of sheet or support
  • Signature; signature description if different from full name
  • Master printer: specify collaboration for proofs, editioning
  • Place printed (workshop)
  • Publisher
  • Edition size and format of numbering
  • Proofs (total number: even if you don't give any additional info about the proofs, all proofs together should NEVER number more than 10% of the edition)
  • Matrix destroyed
  • Additional / optional information:
    • Addresses, biographical info (place & date of birth)
    • Proofs: type and number of each, disposition
    • Colors and individual runs; process or procedure notes
